TATA Steel November production up by 2pct

TATA Steel completed the month of November with an increase in its hot metal, crude steel and saleable steel production over the corresponding month of last year. The key figures are appended below

Highlights

1. 56% increase in Flat Products sales over November 2008.

2. 13% increase in Long Product sales over November 2008.

3. Hot Metal, Crude steel and Works Saleable Steel recorded their best November production of 588,142 tonne, 525,755 tonne and 525,094 tonne respectively.

4. H blast furnace recorded its best November production of 245,958 tonne

5. LD#1 (one of the Steel Melting Shop) recorded its best November production of 205,839 tonne

6. LD#2 (other Steel Melting Shop) recorded its best November production of 319,916 tonne

7. New Bar Mill recorded its best November production of 58,602 tonne

8. Hot Strip Mill recorded its best November production of 319,476 tonne.

9. CRM recorded its best November production of 128,337 tonne
