The South Korean contractor SK Engineering and Construction has announced that it has been awarded a USD 724 million contract to build crude oil pipeline facilities in Kuwait.
In a statement the company said that the scope of works on the project will include the construction of a booster station as well as laying pipelines connected to other facilities. The location of the project is 95 kilometers north of Kuwait City.
The project, which will start in January 2010, is expected to take 41 months to complete. The company said that the award takes the value of its overseas contracts to USD 4.8 billion in 2009.
