KEC International bags 2 power transmission in UAE and Algerian

India’s KEC International has won 2 power transmission contracts worth INR 6.31 billion in Algeria and Abu Dhabi.

Under the INR 3.85 billion contract in Abu Dhabi, KEC will install 162 kilometers of 400 kV transmission lines. The client is the Abu Dhabi Transmission & Despatch Company. KEC will finish the work on the contract over 2 years.

In Algeria, KEC won a contract for 400 kV transmission line from state owned utility Sonelgaz. The project will be carried out over a period of 15 months.

In May 2009, KEC won another transmission contract in Abu Dhabi. The contract covered the diversion of 220 kV and 400 kV transmission lines to a new 400, 220, 33 kV substation.
