India’s industrial production increased for a seventh straight month in July as higher government spending and lower borrowing costs stoked demand for cars, motorbikes and other consumer goods. The positive sentiment was reflected in Indian domestic steel prices as well during the last week.
Indian domestic steel prices increased continued roller coaster run during last week. The Indian Long Product Price Index ILPPI improved by 55 points, up trend for the third consecutive week, whereas Indian Flat Products Index IFPPI improved by 74 points, up for last seven weeks. The overall price index INDSPI improved by 147 points.
