Coking coal prices in China stabilize in March

It is reported that prices of some steel materials have mounted since March. However, the market stocks a great quantity of steel materials. Part of downstream enterprises of steel industry restarted work and their demand lifted by a small margin. Consequently, steel market registered unsatisfactory sales. Coking coal market stabilized instead of fluctuating.

In March, the ex-factory price of PCI coal in Jincheng stood at CNY 930 per tonne. In addition, the prices of PCI coal in Anhui Province Suzhou, Yongcheng and Hebei Province Handan reached CNY 900 per tonne, CNY 1,000 per tonne and CNY 950 per tonne CIF respectively.
