Severstal to commission Sheksna Pipe Works in April 2010

It is reported that the Russian steel producer Severstal plans in April 2010 to start operations at its 250,000 tonnes capacity new pipe mill Sheksna Pipe Works which is located in the Sheksna industrial zone in the Vologodsk region.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, Sheksna Pipe Works will produce round, square and rectangular pipes of 127 mm to 426 mm diameter. The investments in its construction have been estimated at USD 100 million.

In 2010, Severstal expects to produce 70,000 tonnes of pipes at Sheksna Pipe Works.
