According to Mr Hoang Trung Hai Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam at the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group conference to review the work done in 2009 and implement tasks for 2010 in Hanoi on January 23rd, that ensuring labour safety is the responsibility of not only each worker but also each production team in order to minimize accidents in coal exploitation.
Mr Hai also asked the group to boost coal production for domestic consumption and export as well as ensure energy balance. He said that Vietnam’s coal demand is estimated at 200 million tonnes by 2020 and over 300 million tonnes by 2025, and entrusted Vinacomin to build a long-term production plan to manufacture 100 million tonnes of coal in 2020.
Vinacomin targets the total revenue of VND 62.3 trillion up by 8% as against last year, profit of VND 3.5 trillion and workers average income of VND 5.6 million a month per capital.
