Visvesvaraya Memorial Award 2009 conferred to Mr Sajjan Jindal

TNN reported that the 11th Visvesvaraya Memorial Award 2009 was conferred to Mr Sajjan Jindal vice CMD of JSW Steel Ltd on Tuesday.

Governor Mr HR Bhardwaj while delivering the memorial lecture on the Founders Day pointed out that "Visvesvaraya's honesty, sincerity, intelligence and devotion to duty are unparalleled. Everyone should work to adopt the standards set by him in all walks of life.”

After accepting the award, Mr Jindal said the company's largest investment has been in Karnataka. He said that "The environment here is good and the government is supportive. I remember Bangalore was a beautiful city while I was doing engineering 25 years ago. I'm not sure whether the city can regain its lost legacy.”
