The Western Australian Government has granted environmental approvals to allow stage 2 of the Roy Hill iron ore project.
Ms Donna Faragher environment minister of Australia said that she has accepted most of the recommendations of the Environmental Protection Authority's report on the project. These include requirements to protect groundwater dependant vegetation and fauna, survey animals in the area and rehabilitate the site once mining is complete.
