The Nation reported that after the end of the sit in staged by the employees of the National Programme for Improvement of Water Courses, another sit in has been staged by the 1500 sacked employees of the Pakistan Steel who are protesting for their restoration and calling to PML Q leader Ms Marvi Memon to support them whereas she has rejected and said that she will examine the case first
She said that after examining it if the case is original then I will raise it in the parliament. It is important to mention here that the NPIW sit in was led by the Marvi Memon which was end after a week when it was raised before the Prime Minister in a meeting by the PML Q chief Mr Choudhry Shujaat Hussain in Islamabad and the PM had assured him to resolve the issue.
According to Mr Gulzar Hussain Shah Chairman of the Restoration Committee Pakistan Steel Sacked Employees, they will continue sit in until their demands will be fulfilled. We are 1500 sacked employees and demand the government to make possible our restoration otherwise we can commit suicide.
He alleged that in the Presidential ordinance II-2010 some specific people were provided privileges, which is the contempt of the 1973 constitution saying that all the people’s rights are equal. He demanded that from 1990 to 2007 all the sacked employees should be restored.
