Chousan reported that Mr Ratan Tatachairman of TATA Group plans to visit Korea for a September 14th event showcasing Tata-Daewoo's new medium and heavy trucks.
A Tata-Daewoo spokesman said that the chairman may possibly make a surprise announcement about the group's plan to enter the Korean passenger car market.
Currently, TATA Motors accounts for 30% of Korea's medium and heavy truck market, while import of TATA passenger cars is under review. India's largest automaker is among the world's top five manufactures of commercial vehicles.
