Newcastle coal exports drop by 6pct WoW

Coal shipments from Australia’s Newcastle dropped 5.7% last week while the queue of vessels waiting to load shortened.

The volume exported in the week ended 7 AM local time on August 2 fell to 2.06 million tonnes from 2.18 million tonnes in the preceding period.
