GVK group has offered to the Punjab Government to increase the capacity of the GVK Goindwal Sahib Thermal Plant in Amritsar by 1,320 MW to 1,860 MW. The expansion could be done by setting up two more units of 660 MW each in addition to the two units of 270 MW each being set up.
