BL reported that leaders of POSCO Pratirodh Sangram Samithi, the people’s movement against POSCO, are currently on a national campaign tour in Kochi Bangalore, Bhopal, Mumbai, Madurai etc, to generate support for a week long coastal march from POSCO site to Vedanta University site in Orissa from November 29 to December 5.
Mr Abhay Sahu and Mr Prasant Paikray leaders of PPSS alleged that the proposed steel plant and the captive port would cause large scale displacement besides creating ecological damage to the area.
