BS reported that as a part of its expansion plan to achieve the targeted turnover of INR 2000 crore by 2012-13, TATA Refractories Limited has started two new units at Jhansi and Hyderabad in the past two months.
A company release said that while the refractory at Jhansi was operationalzed on July 1, the Hyderabad unit commenced operations on August 1 this year. Both these refractories have been started on the concept of partnering and collaboration.
TRL has partnered Eastern Refractories at Jhansi while it has teamed up with Raasi Refractories to set up the refractory unit in Hyderabad. The partners have offered the infrastructure for the two new units and TRL has provided its technology, quality control, marketing support and product brand. TRL has also deployed its senior executives at the level of vice presidents and general managers at these two new units.
According to the company, the association between TRL and its partners will deliver enhanced value to the customers through cost effective refractory products with state of the art technology of TRL and doorstep delivery of the products to the customers.
