Indian Railways carried 888 million tonnes of freight in 2009-10

It is reported that Indian Railways have carried 887.99 million tonnes of revenue earning freight traffic during fiscal 2009-10.

The freight carried shows an increase of 54.68 million tonnes over the freight traffic of 833.31 million tonnes actually carried during the corresponding period
